Lost Lake is worth the day trip from Hood River, but make sure you gas up before you go! Enjoy the day on the lake by renting a canoe, paddle boat or stand up paddle. Hike around the entire lake and pack a picnic lunch and stop and take in the beautiful scenery of the lake with a Mount Hood backdrop. When we say the water is crystal clear it is not an exaggeration by any means, the water is literally crystal clear! Cast a line off the bank and soak in the sun while waiting for that first bite of the day. Would any trip be complete with out ice cream? Good thing they have a little general store to get your snack on! This is one of our favorite spots to go when the sun is shining and it is hotter than the dickens, cuz it is always cooler at Lost Lake;)
