Frequently asked questions:

 

How and when do I make payment?

A reservation deposit of 50% of total rental fee (including tax and/or any additional fees) is required within seven days of making a reservation. Balance is due 45 days prior to arrival. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and personal checks (if sent 45 days prior to arrival). We also accept debit cards that display the Visa and MasterCard logo.

When is check in time?

4:00PM – we would be happy to get your vacation rollin’ a little sooner if the calendar allows it, feel free to ask for a little earlier check in time during the off season!

When is check out time?

11:00 AM or 10:00AM for larger homes – we know you wanna have one last breakfast in that deluxe kitchen, if it’s the off season give us a call a day ahead of time and we may be able to let you stick around for an extra hour:)

Do you have any long term rentals?

Depending on the time of year we may be able to accommodate, please give us a call to discuss 541.387.3113 or 1.877.260.2519

Do I come to the office for the key?

We always enjoy meeting our guests and hearing about the journey that lead you to The Columbia River Gorge, but coming to our office is not essential. You may go directly to the home you are renting. We will send directions and the lock box code via email once full payment has been received.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur a $75 fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, may forfeit the full advance payment and/or reservation deposit. We can suggest a travel insurance company to speak with if you are interested in purchasing travel insurance.

Are linens provided?

Yes, all of the beds will be made for you to jump into! Towels and extra bedding will also be provided. Please do bring your own beach towels if you are headed to the river or a nearby lake. Not all of the homes have separate beach towels.

Are cooking utensils provided?

The basics are there. (Dinnerware and basic cooking supplies) If there is something specific you enjoy cooking with, please just bring it along.

Are toiletries provided?

Pump soap, dish washing soap, and laundry detergent is provided. Paper products are provided as well. Please bring your own shampoo, conditioner, etc.

What should we do with our trash?

Please read the “welcome book” specific to your home. This will tell you when trash day is in your neighborhood. The book will be in a central location at the house you are staying in.

What do we need to do to check out?

We would love it if you would strip all beds that have been slept in. Start the dishwasher and clean any pots and pans.  Please lock the door and return the key to the lock box.

The house looks available according to the calendar, but when I try to book it online it isn’t letting me?

Each house has a minimum amount of night stays, make sure you are meeting the minimum amount of nights.

Once I have booked a house can I switch homes?

The homes are owned by individual homeowners, so we try our best to help guests select the right fit before securing the booking.

What if I have a question, problem, or need something during my stay?

Please call us! Our office is downtown Hood River at 606 State Street  in The Columbia River Insurance building just follow the outdoor corridor. We are also always just a phone call away-541-387-3113. Please call before swinging by the office, sometimes we have to jet out to check on the homes

Can I bring my dog?

We have a great selection of pet-friendly homes for well behaved dogs.The pet fee is $20.00 per pet per night, or $120.00 per pet per week. We know you love your dogs and with an office full of dog lovers ourselves we still ask that pets do not get on the couches, beds, or any other furniture in the homes. We also ask that you please pick up after your pet inside and out. 

 

Do you offer housekeeping services throughout my stay?

If you are staying longer than 30 days we do offer a cleaning service for an additional charge of $50.00 per hour. This also may depend on the time of year. Peak season we may not be able to accommodate.

When is peak pricing?

            Memorial Day through the end of September and certain homes Holidays too!

What if I forget something at the house I stayed in?

 

Lost and found items will be held for 30 days only & are subject to a $20 retrieval and handling fee, in addition to packing & shipping costs. We cannot guarantee timely returns on items left behind.
