Mount Hood Winery

Located along the Highway 35 Fruit Loop in Hood River Valley, Mount Hood Winery is a great place to enjoy fine wines outside with views of Mount Hood. Five generations of fruit growers led to the opening of Mt Hood Winery on a century-old farm in Hood River Valley in 2009. Since then, Mount Hood Winery has been serving a large selection of whites, reds, and blends to eager visitors hoping to revel in the winery’s spectacular views of Mount Hood.

About Mount Hood Winery

In 2009, two brothers that came from a long lineage of fruit growers bought a 100-year old farm in the Hood River Valley. Their goal was to produce quality vintages on the fertile and well-maintained soil deposited by Mount Hood thousands of years ago.

Today, the Mt Hood Winery Hood River tasting room sits on 20 acres of rich, volcanic soil that gives the wines their characteristic full-bodied taste. A spectacular place for a vineyard tour, Mount Hood Winery is incredibly picturesque. Views of Mount Hood can be seen from almost anywhere on the property.

About the Wines

Named Oregon Winery of The Year in 2016, Mt Hood Winery has been making critically acclaimed wines for several years. On the tasting room menu, you can expect to find Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and several red and white blends.

All of the wines at Mount Hood Winery pair well with food the food of Hood River, from the salmon of the Colombia River to the locally grown fruit that you’ll find growing all around the winery here at the foot of the mountain. We highly recommend taking a bottle home to bring a piece of Oregon with you.
