Naked Winery Hood River is a little bit cheeky, if you can’t tell from the name. If you’re looking for a fun, hip environment, visit the flagship tasting room in Hood River, just down the road from the Naked headquarters. There’s no need for a group ice breaker; this is the home of the “Orgasmic” wine.
Local Roots
The Naked Winery Hood River got its start when the co-founders set out to slash America’s divorce rate by inviting couples to shut off their electronics and share a nightly glass of wine. The winery has been growing ever since. Today, the winery has multiple brands, including Orgasmic wine, Naked Cowboy Wine, and Outdoor Vino (complete with plastic bottles). Don’t be shocked when Cry Me a River, Gangsta’s Paradise and American Boy show up on your tasting menu. All of their wines are made from grapes grown from local vineyards in Oregon and Washington.

Just like the winery’s name, the Naked Winery Hood River tasting room has a funny, quirky atmosphere. On any given evening, you might find a couple crooning out some acoustic hip hop or R&B, or a solo Cajun drum show. You should fully expect servers to dress up for Halloween. The tasting room is kid- and dog-friendly and offers a selection of small bites such as small cheese trays, goldfish and chocolate snacks. If you want, you can taste all of Naked’s wines. Tasting fees are $2 a splash or $15 for a full flight and come with your very own take-home Naked Winery glass. For groups of more than 10 people, contact Naked ahead of time.
