Whether you make the trek to Seaside, OR, for one of the West Coast’s largest firework shows or stay close to your premium vacation rental home in scenic Hood River, there is no shortage of family friendly activities all day long this Hood River 4th of July.
Hood River 4th of July Festivities
Start Independence Day out with a fun run (or walk) in downtown Hood River with the Cranmer-Kollas Memorial Run, a 7-mile course from the Odell Fire Station to Jackson Park in Hood River. Registration begins at 7am, with walkers hitting the course at 8am and runners following at 9am.
After an invigorating start to the day, grab a good vantage point and enjoy handmade local floats, live music, and delicious food during the Lions’ Club Independence Day Parade (10am on The Heights). A barbecue in the park sponsored by the Hood River Fire Department features patriotic music, a flag ceremony, face painting, a bounce house, and games for the entire family. There will be delicious food including all your favorites on the grill and an ice cream social.
A second parade will grace the streets of Odell at 4pm, and the night culminates with the Eyeopener Fireworks Show at 10pm at the Port. Gather around the waterfront, you simply can’t miss this spectacle that everyone will love.
